In 2010, through my work as a reporter at KBIA Radio in Columbia, MO, I received a regional award in radio feature for a story on hog farmers in mid-Missouri from the Society of Professional Journalists.
That story advanced to the national awards, where I was named a national finalist, placing second in the nation.
